How to Clean and Reseal Stamped Concrete
Stamped and colored concrete patios and pool decks depend on their sealer for color and protection. When the sealer wears, the color fades and the surface stains easily.
Cloudy or white sealer
Hazy, milky patches usually mean moisture got trapped under the sealer. Sometimes a solvent can re-melt the sealer and release it; badly failed sealer has to be stripped and redone.
Traction around pools
Glossy sealer gets slick when wet. For pool decks and steps, an anti-slip additive mixed into the final coat adds grip without changing the look much.
How often
Most stamped concrete needs resealing every 2–3 years in Middle Tennessee, depending on sun, traffic and pool chemicals.

- Clean with a mild concrete cleaner and soft brush.
- Rinse and let dry completely.
- Reseal with a compatible product in thin coats.
