How to Remove Grill Grease Stains from a Concrete or Paver Patio
The area around a grill collects drips and splatter that soak into porous concrete and pavers. The sooner it's treated, the more comes out.
Fresh drips
Blot, don't wipe, then cover with an absorbent such as cat litter or baking soda to pull the grease out before it soaks in.
Older stains
Grease that has soaked in usually needs a degreaser left on long enough to work, followed by hot-water cleaning. Some old stains lighten a lot but may not fully disappear.
Pavers and sealed surfaces
Sealed patios resist grease better. On pavers, cleaning can loosen joint sand, so joints may need topping up afterward.
What you can try yourself
- Keep a grill mat under the grill
- Absorb spills the same day
- Scrub with dish soap and a stiff nylon brush
What to avoid
- Harsh solvents that can damage sealer or run into beds
- Spreading grease with a hot hose before degreasing
- Wire brushes on pavers or stamped concrete

"Estimate process was easy and straightforward. Communication via text and email to setup and confirm the work. Guys came when they said they would and did a great job. Fence and deck were covered in algae and cleaned up great. The patio was mismatched already but it looks amazing now. They hit the windows too which made a big difference. Final invoice came via email right after the work was completed."
